trot-tv.com is a joint venture between TV production company Luigi TV Ltd., and Website production company Cube Interactive Ltd., acting in association with affiliated BHRC and W&BRCA organisations, in agreement with terms and conditions specified by S4C.
One of the stated purposes of trot-tv.com is to create an alternative revenue stream through online subscription, that will help boost harness racing in general in the UK, and subsequently safeguard its long term future on television. This year as last most Welsh race organisers and associations have signed up to trot-tv.com and will benefit from any subsequent profits.
trot-tv.com will offer the most comprehensive online race video library available in the UK.
This year an estimated 600 race videos will be uploaded from race meetings organised by both the British Harness Racing Club and Wales & Border Counties Racing Association in Wales (with the exception of those run at Tir Prince on non- televised nights).
Race videos will be available to subscribers within 4 days at latest 48 hours of the conclusion of each relevant race meeting
Races exclusive to S4C (i.e., the 3 TV races shown in full on Rasus S4C between 2130-2230 on Wednesdays ) will not be available to subscribers until the end of the S4C narrative repeat on Tuesday evening (exact time TBC)
These current race videos will also be augmented by exclusive access to an archive video database, including over a 1500 race videos from the 2006,2007,2008,2009,2010 seasons in Wales. If trot-tv.com proves to be a popular success, then the long term plan is to expand to include all race videos run under BHRC rules in the UK.
